The innovation
The blue bottle hasn’t changed for decades.
Collected, trucked, washed, sterilised, refilled, trucked again. Every litre of bulk water on this island still moves that way.
AcquaBox replaced the bottle with a bag inside a box. Natural mineral water, drawn on tap, one way. Nothing to return. Nothing to wash. Around 80% less plastic than the bottle it replaces, and a package that folds flat and recycles when it’s empty.

AcquaBox is built by Mountain Falls, South Africa’s most awarded natural mineral water. The system in these pictures is not a concept. It runs in homes, offices and retail today, carrying Mountain Falls water from the Kleinrivier mountain range.
What comes to Mauritius is the system, adapted to the island: the packaging, the dispensing technology and the design behind it. The water will be the island’s own.
